Why I Won’t be Cooking in my Antique Griswold Cast Iron Skillet
Share

I cook almost exclusively on cast iron, specifically antique cast iron, mostly over 100 years old, so it may seem a little strange to be so excited about opening this box. But, I can’t tell you how much I’ve been looking forward to this.

I have been waiting for years to finally earn my very own Staub enameled cast iron Dutch Oven, and it’s here! It’s nothing against my Griswold, in fact it’s actually out of respect. See, I’m making pickles this week, and as much as I love raw cast iron, you don’t want to boil vinegar in it, so pickles were just the excuse I needed.
I’ll follow up with my thoughts on how it performed, but I was too excited not to share! So, if you’re looking for the absolute best, most prestigious, quality enameled cast iron cookware, it doesn’t get better than Staub.

I’ve put a link below where you can check them out wither on the TikTok shop or Amazon. I highly recommend all their cookware, so don’t hesitate if you care about cast iron quality. Now I’m off to make some pickles, and all sorts of other fun stuff, so look for those recipes below!
