Keep the Flies off Your Picnic
Share

It’s time to enjoy my romantic picnic, so I’m all set up and lounged out, but since several people had mentioned that bugs were a romance killer, and the one reason they might hesitate to enjoy a picnic, I thought I would share how I, adorably, solve that problem.
You’ve probably seen food screens before for, but did you know you can find vintage ones? Look how cute these are. Now, when you’re not munching on it, you can cover your food in style. I love them.

And if convenience is more important than style, there are also modern ones, which are easier to transport since they collapse. They aren’t ugly or anything, you can find them in cute colors like mine, but they aren’t quite as fabulous as the vintage ones. I got this one at a thrift store for ten cents, but they are cheap to begin with, I think you can find them for just a couple bucks each if you buy them in a set.

Vintage cuteness, or modern convenience, either way, they are well worth the peace of mind knowing you won’t come back from croquet to find gnats in your fruit salad.
